If you are a State Games athlete or represent a State Games athlete, and you would like to be considered for the 2011 National Congress of State Games Athlete of the Year award, please contact your State Games organization and ask how they select their own Athletes of the Year.

Individuals are not eligible to nominate themselves to the NCSG Athlete of the Year Committee.

If your local State Games doesn't offer an Athlete of the Year Award, ask them to consider starting such a program.

The 2011 National Congress of State Games annual symposium will be held in Oklahoma City, September 28-30. The Athlete of the Year banquet will be held on September 29.

If necessary, the NCSG will fly the winning athletes and a guest to Oklahoma City, and will provide one night's stay at the symposium host hotel. Additional nights would be available, but at the athlete's expense.

The winning athletes' State Games will receive a duplicate award with their athlete's name.

Ashworth Awards will provide NCSG Athletes of the Year medals to State Games for each athlete they nominate from their organization.

Athletes nominated must have participated in a State Games during the 2011 season.
