The Maine Games State Baton Twirling Championships are being held for the seventh consecutive year. Baton Twirling is the only sport in the Maine Games which have been held since 2003.
Each year this competition brings together the entire baton twirling community within the state of Maine. Twirlers from a variety of clubs and organizations compete together each year, making the Maine Games unique.
More than two dozen twirlers have competed in each Maine Games, making them some of the most dedicated and decorated athletes in our State Games.
Linda Ladakakos and Susie Skaggs, both from the Saco Jets Twirling organization are co-commissioners of our event, and each year they assemble a tremendous staff of officials and volunteers.
Registration for the 2009 Maine Games State Baton Twirling Championships ends April 11. Registration fees go up on April 1.
