MAINE GAMES STATE WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS;
June 23-24; Sukee Arena, Winslow
The 2007 Maine Games State Wrestling Championships are being held at Sukee Arena in Winslow (next to Waterville), on Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24.

Divisions are as follows:

WR01     Kindergarten through 2nd Grade (2006-2007 school year)
WR02     3rd Grade through 5th Grade
WR03     6th Grade through 8th Grade
WR04     High School division (9th Grade through 12th Grade only)
WR05     Open (High School and Adult)

Athletes may register for both the HS and Open divisions and compete in both. It is the responsibility of the athlete to make sure they will be able to compete when scheduled to wrestle. The Maine Games makes no attempts to accommodate athletes schedules.

All athletes must wear a wrestling singlet to compete at this event.

No outside food is allowed in the venue. Concession stand will be available inside.

One coach per athlete will be allowed on the floor for competition. Coaches will be given a bracelet identifying them as a coach to be allowed on the floor.

Admission is $5 per person, per day.
WEIGH-IN INFORMATION

Athletes scheduled to wrestle on Saturday, June 23, in the K-8th grade divisions can weigh-in at the Maine Games Opening Ceremonies presented by Are You Ready To Party?? on Friday, June 22, between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

All athletes may weigh-in at the venue on the morning of their competition between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.

What you need to know about registering for this event:

Mail-in registrations must include registration form, signed waiver, and check for full payment (returned check fee is $20 in addition to what is charged by your bank; and you will not be allowed to register by check for any Maine Games events in the future).

Registrations that are submitted online provide us with an email address to contact our athletes in the event of a change to the tournament, or for any other emergency. If you submit your registration by mail we may or may not be able to read your email address and therefore may or may not have your correct email address.

Online registrations receive a confirmation email. We do not provide any confirmation for mail-in registrations. Your cancelled check is your confirmation.

If you register early we will be able to have a better idea of who is participating and how we need to plan for our event.

We will accept registrations at the door this year HOWEVER, the registration fee is nearly four times the early registration fee. Don't wait to register. Do it today.

ABOUT REGISTRATION FEES
Athletes will save significantly on their registration fees when they register early. The Maine Games opened registrations for this event in January and until May 31, the registration fee for wrestling is $25 for one division.

Between June 1 and June 10 the fee increases to $35.

Between June 11 and June 17 the fee increases again, to $45.

On the day of the event if an athlete wishes to register for one division the fee is $70!
