This event is the exclusive Maine qualifier for the 2011 State Games of America. Atheltes who medal in the Maine Games Cross Country/5k race will automatically qualify to compete at the SGA in San Diego, the first weekend of August.

The 2010 Maine Games/New Balance State Cross Country/5k Championship is being held at Medomak Valley High School's cross country course. This is one of the most spectator-friendly courses in Maine.
The course is on grass and on stone dust.
The registration fee for this event starts at $12 and increases to $25 on the day of the event. The registration fee increases on May 1, and again on June 1.
The Medomak Mile is a new Maine Games event for kids under the age of 14, who want to show what they can do on the MVHS track.
We're very excited to offer this unique event that will certainly become a fan favorite.
Registration for the Medomak Mile is only $5, and athletes can register at the event between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
Both races will be held on the campus of Medomak Valley High School, in Waldoboro.

The Maine Games reserves the right to change, alter, or cancel any event for any reason without prior notice. If cancelled for any reason, the event will not be rescheduled due to the difficulty of rescheduling the venue, officials, timers, volunteers, and athletes. The Maine Games does not provide refunds for any event cancelled for weather, or any other reason outside of our direct control. This event will be held rain or shine, but the venue owner, commissioner, and the Maine Games will have the final say regarding the safety of the course, or any potential danger to athletes. All athletes must have their own insurance. By submission of a registration for this event, the athlete, or their parent (if the athlete is under the age of 18), guarantees that they have suitable insurance for the athlete.
